Grandfather's letter

Before the house is let go, please listen, just once more, to the sound of this house.

A month had passed since Grandfather died. Before the house was let go, a letter arrived. On a winter day long ago, a song had been playing somewhere in this house. Now the house has fallen completely silent. One by one, you mend what has stopped.

How to play

There are no instructions. Your clues are how the machines move, and the marks left on them.

  1. Observe

    Look around each room and machine. Collect clues from engraved marks, numbers, and notes left behind.

  2. Test

    Swap parts and set the machine running. How it reacts reveals what is broken and the rules it follows.

  3. Repair

    Fix it correctly, and the stopped machine plays its sound once more.
