Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the game app "The Workshop of Forgotten Sounds" (the "App") provided by Gadget Recipe LLC ("we", "us"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If the Japanese and English versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.

Article 1 (The App)

The App is a repair puzzle game in which you observe, test, and fix devices that have fallen silent. It is available in Japanese and English and works entirely offline. It supports iPhone and iPad running iOS 15.0 or later, and devices running Android 8.0 or later.

Article 2 (Users)

The App may be used by anyone who has agreed to the terms of Apple's App Store or Google Play. If you are a minor, please use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Article 3 (Price)

  1. The App is a one-time purchase at the price shown in the store. Prices vary by country or region and follow the store's listing.
  2. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or ads. Once purchased, all content is playable at no extra charge.
  3. Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play. You can download the App on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account or Google Account at no extra charge.

Article 4 (Refunds)

Refunds are governed by the refund policy of the store where you bought the App (Apple or Google). We do not receive payments directly, so we cannot issue refunds ourselves.

Article 5 (Intellectual property)

All rights in the App, including its software, images, music, sound effects, and text, belong to us or their rightful owners. You may use the App only for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, or use the App commercially.

Article 6 (Prohibited conduct)

You must not:

  • violate any law or public order and morals;
  • tamper with the App, copy or distribute it without permission, or interfere with its operation;
  • infringe our rights or the rights of others; or
  • do anything else we reasonably consider inappropriate.

Article 7 (Disclaimer)

  1. We do not guarantee that the App will work on every device or be free of defects.
  2. Your progress and settings are stored only on your device. We cannot restore data lost through device failure or loss, deleting the App, or operating system actions.
  3. We are not liable for damages arising from your use of the App, except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 8 (Changes to the App and these Terms; end of distribution)

  1. We may change the App or stop distributing it in the stores.
  2. We may update these Terms when needed. Updated Terms take effect when posted on this page, and continued use of the App means you accept them.

Article 9 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over our principal place of business as the court of first instance.
